When baby cygnets tire of play
And settle down at eve of day
And close their little eyes
And close their little eyes
Their lullabies must be foregone
For in the very hour a swan
Should undertake to sing a song,
Immediately it dies

So I'll sing to the swans under the moon
Sing them my signature tune

And since the mother swans are mute
And cygnets need a substitute
I'm wearing this disguise

That's why upon this bridge I stand
And sing with megaphone in hand
I'm sure the courts will understand
The swans need lullabies
